We attended the play "An American in Paris" tonight at the Palace Theatre on Broadway.
For some reason we thought the play started at 8pm. At 6:55pm Stan looked at the tickets and realized we had 5 minutes to get there. It started at 7!!! We ran to the Red 1 (and actually walked right on), got off at Times Square and quickly walked to the Nederland Theatre only to realize that American in Paris was playing at the Palace Theatre on Broadway... 7 blocks back!
So we missed the first 3 minutes of the play. A miracle that we got there in that short of time!
We had great seats...
Except this was the lady who was sitting in front of Stan. Probably the biggest hairdo we have seen since the 70's. (For some reason Stan seems to attract these types of people.) A real test of patience for him; and he passed the test...barely!
The cast of "An American in Paris". An easy story to follow and wonderful dancing!
It was a nice night so we decided to walk home and took the short cut through Central Park. I would have never thought I would be walking through Central Park at 10:30pm. It was peaceful but also humid. We had another fun night in Manhattan.
